Senior Congress senior leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar on Thursday advised the new Cabinet to do justice to their posts by working hard and bring laurels to the government and Congress party.
Talking to media persons at CLP Office, he said “It is great opportunity to get the Minister posts. Now they can serve people effectively and efficiently.”
On the allotment of unimportant portfolios to senior leaders and triggering off of a rebellion against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, he said there was no dissatisfaction in the Cabinet over the allotment of portfolios and Ministers were ready to work hard.
“I have been a loyal worker of the party since the past 29 years, but I have not got the opportunity to serve as Minister. Only a few persons can get Ministerial berths. They should be satisfied and work hard to protect the interests of people,” he said.
On giving portfolio for one MLC, he said that it would have been good if the Chief Minister had accommodated one MLC in the Cabinet.
“The MLAs and MLCs are two eyes of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister should not show partiality in accommodating berths,” he stated.
He demanded that the Chief Minister lift all police cases against students, who participated in the division of state agitation.
