Andhra Pradesh is the first State to introduce the health insurance scheme ‘Rajiv Arogyasri’ for the poor in the country, stated Minister for Arogyasri Pithani Satyanarayana.
Talking to media people after reviewing the implementation of Rajiv Arogyasri with the officials concerned on Thursday, the Minister stated that the government would continue the scheme at any cost. The poor could get treatment costing up to Rs 2 lakhs in corporate hospitals under the programme, he said.
He asserted that all eligible would derive benefit and politics would not come in the way of implementation of Arogyasri programme. There is no shortage of funds for implementation of Arogyasri programme in the state, the Minister pointed out. The unfinished works of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would be completed with utmost priority, he pointed out.
