KCR demands cancellation of SI recruitment tests

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday demanded cancellation of written test for recruitment of 1,293 sub-inspector posts across the state until the government makes its stand clear on free zone issue.

Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, KCR blamed Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy for the protests and held them responsible for the crisis.

He also found fault with the Chief Minister for his indifferent attitude and not taking any concrete measures for solving the problem. “The Chief Minister has remained a mute spectator and has not taken any action to sort out the issue,” he stated.

If the state government had taken a delegation to the Centre over the Free Zone issue, the crisis would not have arisen at all, KCR pointed out.

Stating that the government has no commitment over the issue, he demanded that the Chief Minister take an all-party delegation to Centre within 15 days to solve the problem on free zone issue. The TRS chief also demanded that the government should press for the removal of Clause 14(F) in the Presidential Orders.

He said that the government would be held responsible for any serious consequences if it goes ahead with conducting written test for Sis in the state.

Though the Centre has sought legal opinion on Free Zone issue, the Chief Minister has not responded properly to this, he pointed out.
