Pakistan hosted the ongoing Champions Trophy for the first time in the history and they tired to make it a memorable one as they were the defending champions. It is known that Pakistan trounced India to create one of the biggest upsets then.
Pakistan entered into the fray as the defending champions and much to the disappointment of all got knocked out of the Champions Trophy with out even a single win. Pakistan started its campaign against New Zealand and failed to chase down the huge target of 320 and lost the match by 60 runs.
Then all eyes turned on the high profile clash of Pakistan against India. Pakistan failed to set a winning target and India chased down the target of 241 riding on Kohli's century. These two losses and the other subsequent results virtually knocked Pakistan out of the tournament and now today its match against Bangladesh got washed out without even a single ball being bowled.
Pakistan got knocked out without winning a single game and many are blasting them for playing petty politics targeting India rather than concentrating on building a strong team. Pakistan team looked weaker than a gully team and it was no where near the one feared team comprising of Afridi, Akram, Younus, Akthar and others.
