One look at AP CM, TDP chief Chandra Babu's political career shows that he never repeated his winning streak. After winning one election, he failed to recreate the magic after five years and win the successive term.
Chandra Babu after his 1999 victory, tasted two successive defeats in 2004 and 2009. This shows that he has successive defeats but not successive wins.
Similarly, Chandra Babu after winning the 2014 lost miserably in 2019. Now after winning in 2024, he is boasting that he will come to power once again in 2029. This is making people wonder what is the confidence behind Chandra Babu's claims.
Chandra Babu is a senior politician but he has many weaknesses and minuses. Even he doesn't know what he does and what he talks. To the top of it, no one is clear as to which alliance he will shift in future.
Chandra Babu wrested power in 1995 from his father in law NTR and at that time, the situation was favourable. Many came to Chandra Babu unable to bear Lakshmi Parvathi. This enabled Chandra Babu to become CM and not by winning on his own. In 1999, he entered to an alliance with BJP and became CM riding on the popularity of Vajpayee. However in 2004 and 2009 he failed to repeat any magic as he couldn't withstand YSR's wave and tsunami.
After the bifurcation, people voted for Chandra Babu considering his seniority and experience and not for any other reason and at the same time they gave 67 seats to Jagan's YSRCP turning it a strong opposition party. In the 2019 elections people confined Chandra Babu to just 23 seats and handed power to Jagan's YSRCP with 151 seats.Jagan's arrogant acts and anti people policies made people look at Chandra Babu once again in 2024 voting him with 161 seats.
Following this track record of Chandra Babu even his own partymen are wondering whether CBN can win the next term. They are also wondering whether Chandra Babu will make Lokesh the CM in the next elections.
