YS Jagan drags his Mom and Sister to Court

Jagan - Sharmila fight takes legal turn

YS Jagan drags his Mom and Sister to Court. YS Jagan Files NCLT Petition Against Sharmila and Vijayamma Over Share Dispute.

The long-standing rift between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila has taken a dramatic turn, escalating into a legal battle. Jagan, along with his wife Bharati, has filed a petition at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) against Sharmila and their mother YS Vijayamma, alleging a dispute concerning share allocation in Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited.

According to reports, the petition centers around a disagreement regarding the distribution of shares in the company, which is owned by the Grandhi family. Jagan reportedly stated in the petition that he intends to withhold shares from Sharmila and Vijayamma, alleging that they have pursued separate political identities and are no longer aligned with him.

Jagan further claims that he initially agreed to allocate certain shares to Sharmila in August 2019 out of familial affection. However, he now contends that the circumstances have changed, and he no longer intends to honor that agreement.

The petition suggests that Jagan and Bharathi believe they are responsible for the company's growth and are not obligated to share its success with Sharmila. The petition's language, which reportedly includes the term "cheater" without directly naming Sharmila, further underscores the depth of the conflict.

The legal action marks a significant escalation in the ongoing family feud, which has been simmering since Jagan assumed office in 2019. The NCLT's decision will have major implications for the future of the YS family and its political landscape. It remains to be seen whether this will lead to further legal battles or reconciliation within the family.
