CBN warns his MLAs strongly.Liquor License Holders in AP Face Pressure from Local Leaders, CM Chandrababu Issues Warning.

The recent liquor shop license allotment process in Andhra Pradesh, hailed for its transparency and lottery-based selection, is facing a new challenge: intimidation and pressure tactics from local leaders. Reports indicate that MLAs, local leaders, and even liquor syndicates are pressuring licensees, demanding shares and control over their businesses.

The situation has reportedly become particularly alarming for those who won licenses independently, without any connection to established syndicates. These licensees are being targeted with threats, offers of "goodwill" payments, and promises of a 10% share in return for surrendering their licenses.

However, this issue has apparently come to the attention of CM Chandrababu Naidu, who has taken a strong stance against such intimidation. The CM, informed about the threats through the party machinery, surveillance department, and excise department, has issued stern warnings to the involved leaders.

Chandrababu reportedly declared that there will be zero tolerance towards any leader who attempts to disrupt the fair and transparent system established for liquor and sand businesses.

The severity of the situation is highlighted by the fact that the CM has sent warnings to approximately 70 MLAs, emphasizing the need for adherence to government decisions.

While the liquor license allotment process was considered a success, the emergence of such pressure tactics raises concerns about the effectiveness of the transparency measures. The CM's firm response serves as a reminder that the government is committed to upholding fairness and accountability, and will not tolerate interference in the implementation of its policies.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by those attempting to establish legitimate businesses in a system prone to influence and corruption. It remains to be seen how effectively the CM's warning will deter future intimidation and whether the government will take further steps to ensure the safety and security of those who have secured licenses through fair means.
