Prakash Raj Attacks Pawan After Supreme Court Remarks On Tirupati Laddu Controversy

Tirupati Laddu:Prakash Raj targets PK

Prakash Raj attacks Pawan after Supreme Court remarks on Tirupati Laddoo controversy.Actor Prakash Raj has taken a veiled swipe at Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, urging him to prioritize governance in the wake of the Tirupati laddu controversy.

The Supreme Court on Monday reprimanded the Chandrababu Naidu government for politicizing the issue of alleged adulteration in the ghee used to make Tirupati laddus. The court stated, "We expect Gods to be kept away from politics."

Prakash Raj, in a tweet, said, "Enough is enough. Now will you please focus on what is important to the citizens? #justasking." His comments come after repeated criticisms of Pawan Kalyan, who had made strong remarks regarding the controversy.

The controversy erupted after Naidu alleged the use of substandard ghee, citing a central government lab report from July. The report was based on samples submitted by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) following complaints about the laddu's quality.

Justice Gavai questioned the rush to the media, asking, "Was the ghee sample, which did not meet standards, actually used in the laddus? What was the urgency of going to the press before concluding the investigation?"

Pawan Kalyan, in an interview with Oneindia, expressed disappointment with Prakash Raj's remarks. While acknowledging his respect for Raj as an actor and a friend, Kalyan felt the comments were unnecessary. He also questioned the actor's selective outrage, pointing to his silence on atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.

The Supreme Court's reprimand and Prakash Raj's comments have brought the focus back to the need for responsible governance, amidst accusations of political maneuvering. The controversy highlights the complexities of navigating faith, politics, and public perception, particularly in the context of religious institutions.
