Telangana Congress leaders on Thursday warned Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy that they would not allow ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in the Telangana region if he did not extend support to the separate Telangana state.
Talking to media persons at media point on the Assembly premises, Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president Indrasena Reddy made it clear that without supporting separate state, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy could not tour in Telangana districts.
“We will worship Jagan and YSR’s portraits if Jagan extends support to the separate Telangana cause,” he stated.
PCC official spokesperson Kamalakar Rao said that Telugu Deam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and Seemandhra Congress leaders have to own moral responsibility for the deaths of all those who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana.
He charged that the students were forced to resort to the extreme step for the cause of Telangana after the TDP and Seemandhra leaders changed their stand on the issue.
Mr Kamalakar Rao added that the Telangana leaders were organising a Martyrs Meet following the guidelines of party High Command.
He said the leaders would organize Martyrs Meet in Mahabubnagar on October 23 to help the families of the Telangana Martyrs.
