Hyderabad, Sept 5 :
After two days of mourning due to the sudden death of Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy, the towns in Andhra Pradesh are limping back to normalcy. On Saturday schools, colleges, banks, shops and business establishments started functioning. City buses of APSRTC were back on the roads operating in their regular routes along with the autos and taxis .
With the reports reaching that over 100 people have died across the state since Thursday the normal life in the state is slowly limping back to normalcy.
In the native town of the CM, Pulivendala a special prayer meeting was held on Saturday to condole the death of YSR. The Congress party leaders and activists are holding condolence meetings at various places in the state to express their sorrow and grief. Despite the routine life returning to normalcy, the mood of the people in the rural parts of Andhra Pradesh remained sombre amid a seven-day state mourning.
People in the rural areas who have been beneficiaries of YSR’s schemes still can’t digest his tragic death.
Meanwhile cyclonic rains in the last couple of days in some parts of the state continued to disrupt the vehicular traffic with drainage water flowing on to the roads. In the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad though the water has receded in most places but the roads are in a very bad shape causing a lot of inconvenience to the traffic.
