Former minister and MLA JC Diwakar Reddy on Tuesday stated the expansion of cabinet was prerogative of Chief Minister K Rosaiah but saw no need for the reshuffle since the ‘Ministers were working efficiently’.
Talking to media persons at CLP Office, Mr Diwakar Reddy said the Chief Minister would expand his Cabinet if need arises and reshuffle the ministers portfolios.
When asked if he felt that the postponement of the Cabinet reshuffle had anything to do with the Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr Diwakar Reddy stated there was no threat to Mr Rosaiah’s Cabinet and if need arises the Chief Minister would expand by taking clearance from the part High Command.
The former minister denied that there was any connection between AICC youth secretary Rahul Gandhi statements and the turmoil about the micro finance firms in the state.
He also criticised the demands of BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya who sought an apology from Rahul Gandhi for extending support to micro finance firms.
