Rosaiah doesn’t want to be CM

Hyderabad, Sept 5:

The Congress High Command will take a decision on who should be the successor of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, said care taker Chief Minister K Rosaiah here on Saturday. Talking to media persons, he said that he had no objection to Mr Jagan, YSR’s son, being elevated to the top post, provided the party high command cleared his name.

“The Congress requires a strong and dynamic leadership and ensure the continuation of the YSR welfare programmes in the state,” he added. Rosaiah says that he is happy with his life and is a contended man. And he has no interest in becoming the chief minister either.

He says that it is a tough job being CM and he has neither the strength no the energy to stand up to the demanding nature of the job. According to him, he belongs to the older generation that is not comfortable with the latest gizmos. He said that the Governor has been urged to continue the YSR Cabinet till further arrangements were made.
