Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Gali Muddukrishnamanaidu on Monday alleged that the Congress had historically used the Governors of any state in India as its tool, as a matter of policy.
Talking to media persons at TDLP, Mr Muddukrishnamanaidu said that the role of Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj during the days’ development in Karnataka followed a pattern which was all too familiar to observers of the Congress party. He said that the Karnataka Speaker was within his rights to suspend some MLAs hours before the crucial vote of confidence against the Yeddyurappa government.
He said that any Governor of any state not ruled by the Congress would act in utmost haste when he has to act against the non-Congress government.
Mr Muddukrishnamanaidu charged that anyone filing any complaint with the Governor against the non-Congress government would be surprised to find the promptest of actions on the complaint.
The TDP leader also turned his attention towards Andhra Pradesh by saying that the whole administration felt the effects of Mr Rosaiah’s fever, and was paralysed during the Chief Minister’s indisposition.
He also said that he was ready to hazard a guess that the Congress High Command would change the existing Chief Minister with one from Telangana as the separate statehood agitation was about to boil once more.
