Pawan Kalyan Concludes Varahi Deeksha, Performs Special Puja at Janasena Office

AP Deputy CM and Janasena Party chief, Pawan Kalyan, has concluded his Varahi Deeksha, a spiritual practice focused on the worship of Surya (Sun God), and performed a special puja at the party's central office in Mangalagiri.

Kalyan, who had been participating in Surya Dhana (sun worship) and Surya Namaskaras as part of the Deeksha, recently decided to discontinue it. However, his commitment to Surya Namaskar remains, despite facing back problems. He has incorporated Vedic chants and Aditya Yantra worship into his routine, emphasizing the significance of Sunday, considered Raviwara (Sun Day) in Indian culture.

Vedic scholars explained the importance of Surya Namaskaras in Indian tradition, drawing parallels to Mahabharata, where Dharmaraja's prayers to Surya in exile earned him the boon of Akshaya (indestructible). They also highlighted the cultural significance of Sunday, a day dedicated to worshipping the Sun and starting new endeavors.

While Kalyan's decision to conclude the Varahi Deeksha was driven by his well-being, his commitment to spiritual practices remains strong, as evident in his continued worship of Surya and his focus on the welfare of society and the prosperity of the country.
