During an election campaign in Nandyala, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu condemned the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for politicizing actor Allu Arjun's visit to the town.
Allu Arjun visited the house of Shilpa Ravi Reddy, the YSRCP MLA candidate from Nandyala, sparking controversy and prompting YSRCP leaders to interpret the visit as an endorsement.
Naidu criticized this interpretation, stating that Allu Arjun's visit was purely personal, based on his friendship with the candidate's family. He accused the YSRCP of engaging in "psychotic" behavior by twisting the visit for political gain.
Naidu further emphasized the existing alliance between the TDP and Jana Sena, of which actor Pawan Kalyan is the president. He denounced the YSRCP for spreading false narratives about Jana Sena's support for their party, calling it a "dirty" and "dark" political strategy.
Allu Arjun's visit comes at a time when elections in Andhra Pradesh are in full swing. Despite his previous public support for Pawan Kalyan's campaign in Pithapuram, his visit to Nandyala has sparked significant debate and speculation on social media.
