Drought hits Telangana, KCR and Revanth fight it out

Its KCR vs Revanth as water levels dip alarmingly

Drought has become a serious issue in several districts of Telangana, leading to concerns about crop failure and water scarcity. While reservoirs and ponds in some areas are drying up, affecting agriculture, the blame game between political parties has intensified.

BRS president KCR recently criticized the Congress government, attributing the drought conditions to their governance. Speaking at the Polambata program in Nalgonda district, KCR blamed the Congress for the drying up of crops and power supply issues. He questioned why there is a need for tankers now when he was able to provide electricity eight years ago through Mission Bhagirath, a project aimed at providing piped drinking water to every household.

In response, Telangana Ministers have refuted KCR's claims, calling them lies. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy accused KCR of being in a state of depression and frustration, stating that there have been no power outages in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka blamed the previous government's negligence for the current situation, highlighting the decreasing groundwater levels as a major concern.
