The last rites of the Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, will be performed at his native village of Pulivendula in Kadapa district on Friday evening with full state honours.The State Government announced on Thursday that after conducting the post-mortem, the body of Dr Reddy will be shifted to his Camp Office in Begumpet in Hyderabad by Thursday evening. It will be kept at the Lal Bahadur Stadium from 9 am to 1 pm on Friday to enable the public to pay their last respected to their departed leader.
Later, the mortal remains of Dr Reddy will be shifted to Pulivendula at 1 pm and will be kept at his residence there till 5 pm on Friday and the funeral will take place later with full state honours.Meanwhile, the autopsy on the body of Dr Reddy was conducted in the helicopter itself at Kurnool and is being shifted to Hyderabad by a special copter. Post-mortem on the bodies of the other deceased, IAS officer Subrahmanyam, Special Security Officer Wesley, pilot M S Reddy and the co-pilot also was complete at 3 pm on Thursday. The bodies are also being shifted to Hyderabad.
