Konda Surekha kindles Naidu & Chiru

Former minister and staunch YSR family loyalists Konda Surekha on Monday stated that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to point fingers at the wealth of Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Talking to media persons at the Media Point on Assembly premises, Ms Surekha alleged that the TDP leader has resorted to making baseless allegations against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy since he was unable to digest the popularity of the Kadapa MP.

The former minister pointed out that Mr Naidu had come to power the first time by backstabbing his father-in-law NTR. She said that the second time, the TDP had to take the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party to come back to power.

However, people of state gave a fitting reply to Mr Naidu, who had tie-up with all parties except Congress, by rejecting his leadership and voted former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy to power, she added. “Such a corrupt and backstabbing leader has no moral right to criticize YSR,” she stated.

She also recalled how the Basavatarakam Trust owned by NTR family members had violated rules and regulations and grabbed lands for construction of a cancer hospital at Banjara Hills.

Ms Surekha condemned Mr Naidu for speaking on YSR after his death. “It is not a good trend to speak against the late leader and make corruption allegations,” she said.

She also stated that it was not proper for Mr Naidu to make such cheap allegations on YSR family properties.

The former minister also condemned the attack of members allegedly belonging to the TRS on Mr Naidu’s convoy and sought their unconditional apology for the incident.

Ms Surekha asked Praja Rajyam Party leader K Chiranjeevi to withdraw his comments against Osmania University Joint Action Committee for allegedly stating TRS leaders were resorting blackmail tactics and demanding money for the release of ‘Komaram Puli’ starring his brother Pawan Kalyan.
