Congress MLC Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Monday demanded that those leaders who desire to see Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy become the Chief Minister submit resignations immediately.
Talking to media persons after calling on Chief Minister K Rosaiah at his residence to inquire about his health, Mr Govardhan Reddy wondered how those who got Ministerial posts with the Congress are now talking against it openly.
The Ministers, who are in a responsible position, should not make comments against the party High Command, he said.
Mr Govardhan Reddy termed the comments in defiance of the High Command as `unfortunate’ and ‘unwarranted.’
The MLC said that the High command would initiate action against Minister for Mines Balineni Srinivas for openly defying its diktat and participating in Odarpu yatra in Prakasam district.
He called upon all leaders to adhere to the party discipline to enhance the image of the party. If the party cadre did not follow discipline, the party image will be damaged and the party would be in trouble the next time it faces the electorate, he said.
