We are just few hours away for Telangana elections where the public will decide who will hold the power to change their lives for the next five years. the stage is set for tomorrow’s polling in all 119 assembly constituencies with poll parties left for their designated polling stations. A total of 2290 candidates including 221 women and one transgender are contesting from over 100 parties including the national, regional and recognised parties besides over nine hundred Independents.
Over 3 crore 26 lakh electors will exercise their right to vote at 35655 polling stations from 7 AM till 5 PM tomorrow. Everything is set in place and for the last one month every candidate and party came before the voter to convince him to cast his vote for them. Some made promises, some offered monetary gains, and some assured development. Whatever they have said, voter has seen them all in his lifetime. He knows exactly which one will work and who doesn't.
Most of the Voters doesn't think far away from today where many parties lure him with money. He doesn't care whether they will keep their promises or not once they came into the power. He thinks about instant money he get today. But, this approach has been changing slowly over the course of years, people are taking money wherever there is possibility but they are casting vote to whom they believe will work for them. This approach needs to be developed more and more. Irrespective of money, caste and creed, one must think twice before pushing the button whether the candidate deserves the most powerful right the voter posses.
Among the key personalities who are in the fray include, BRS Chief and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, BRS working president Taraka Ramarao, BJP Lok Sabha members B Sanjay Kumar, Soyam Bapurao and Arvind Kumar, Congress Lok Sabha Members Revanth Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and over 100 sitting MLAs are seeking election for the third Assembly of Telangana State.
