KCR and Revanth trade charges against each other

KCR or Revanth: Who is the Stray Dog

KCR and Revanth trade charges against each other. As the campaigning in Telangana is reaching its climax, Chief Minister KCR and Congress party chief Revanth Reddy are engaging in a war of words, trading charges against each other.

During his election campaigns in Bhiknoor, Rajampet, and Chinna Mallareddy villages of the Kamareddy Assembly constituency, Revanth Reddy accused the BRS government of obstructing his campaign and urged voters to defeat BRS in Kamareddy to safeguard their lands. He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family were eyeing fertile land in Kamareddy and warned that the lands would be seized if BRS was elected. Revanth claimed that agricultural fields in Gajwel, Siddipet, and Sircilla Assembly constituencies were taken over by BRS leaders.

Revanth positioned himself as ‘Telangana’s watchdog,’ cautioning people against KCR, whom he called a ‘poisonous snake.’ and a stray dog. He pledged to protect farmers' lands from BRS leaders, stating that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had directed him to safeguard the people of Kamareddy.

In a sharp counterattack, Telangana CM KCR criticized Revanth for his past actions during the Telangana statehood agitation, accusing him of siding with Chandrababu Naidu and pointing a rifle at Telangana activists in Karimnagar. KCR referred to Revanth as ‘Rifle Reddy’ and questioned his credibility, highlighting the derogatory remarks he made about offering ‘pindam’ in floodwaters. KCR dismissed Revanth's accusations, advising his party colleague Palla Rajeshwar Reddy to ignore the rhetoric, likening Revanth to a barking dog that need not be counted.

The verbal sparring between KCR and Revanth adds intensity to the political landscape as the state approaches the crucial election date on November 30.
