TDP-Janasena to contest in these seats

TDP-JS seat sharing finalised

TDP-JS to contest in these seats. Now that it has been finalised that TDP and Jana Sena would be contesting the next elections in alliance, speculation is increasing on the seat sharing agreement between the two parties. Reports are coming that Jana Sena will contest in 26 assembly constituencies and 3 loksabha constituencies.

The allocation of seats between the two parties will be determined by their respective chances of winning, and some leaders may need to be prepared for personal sacrifices.Pawan Kalyan emphasized that it is premature to discuss seat allocation and the specifics of their partnership with the TD. Leaders from both sides concur with this sentiment, expressing a desire for a united effort aimed at unseating the YSRC government.

To address these matters, the Jana Sena chief has convened a meeting with his party's leaders at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri on Saturday. He has made it clear that they will establish a joint action committee.TD MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudhary stated, "Our party leadership and cadre have embraced the alliance with Jana Sena, and we anticipate seat allocation based on the combined strength and winning potential of both parties. We anticipate gaining anti-incumbency votes in our favor as the public is disenchanted with the YSRC government."

However, the absence of TD leader Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in jail, and the busy schedule of his son Lokesh, who is consulting legal experts to secure Naidu's release, has hindered the party's efforts to engage with its cadre and persuade them of the benefits of the alliance with the Jana Sena.TD national spokesman Pattabhi Ram noted, "The TD-JS alliance necessitates significant sacrifices."

The Jana Sena is optimistic about securing a substantial number of seats, particularly in five districts: erstwhile East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, and Visakhapatnam. During his Varahi Yatra, Pawan Kalyan unveiled the name of only one contestant, V. Rama Chandra Rao, from Tanuku. Additionally, the party boasts formidable candidates in certain constituencies and aims to safeguard these seats during the seat allocation negotiations with the TD.Jana Sena leader Kandula Durgesh emphasized, "We anticipate both parties working in harmony and being accommodating in terms of seat sharing and allocation."

Speculation is rife that the Kakinada Lok Sabha seat and Kakinada Rural assembly constituency could potentially be allocated to the Jana Sena. Some members of the Jana Sena believe that the Pithapuram assembly seat might also be considered for the Pawan Kalyan-led party. The remaining assembly constituencies, namely Kakinada, Peddapuram, Tuni, Prathipadu, and Jaggampeta, are anticipated to be designated for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates.

However, if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also becomes part of the alliance, TDP might relinquish the Kakinada assembly constituency in favor of the BJP. This prospect raises concerns among Jana Sena leaders, who fear losing the Kakinada Lok Sabha seat to the BJP while potentially gaining the Amalapuram Lok Sabha constituency.

There is a growing inclination among some Telugu Desam Party leaders to explore joining forces with the Jana Sena in order to secure seats for the upcoming elections. It has been reported that former Telugu Desam Party MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi and her husband, TDP senior leader Pilli Satyanarayana Murthy, are laying the groundwork to join the Jana Sena.In Kakinada Rural, senior political figure Pantham Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) is overseeing Jana Sena's efforts and is optimistic about securing the constituency.
