Ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Sing’s visit to Tirupati on Aug 31, Chief Minister K Rosaiah arrived in Tirupati on Wednesday morning to hold a review meeting on the arrangements for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister.
On his arrival at the Renigunta Airport, the CM was received by airport by Forest Minister P Ramachandra Reddy, MLCs Redappa Reddy, Jayachandra Naidu, Gopinadh and B Chengalrayulu, TTD Executive Officer Y R Krishna Rao, Former Lok Sabha Speaker Agarala Eswara Reddy, District Collector V Seshadri, Anantapuram Range DIG Charusinha, Tirupati Urban Police District Superintendent Ravendra and local Congress leaders.
The CM held a review meeting with the district officials and local political leaders over arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit. After the review meeting the CM went to the Tirumala Temple to offer prayers.
Due to inclement weather the CM cancelled his scheduled trip to Nellore by helicopter. Rosaiah was supposed to attend Kandukuru MLA , Mahindra Reddy’s daughter at Nellore today.
