Two women ministers of Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday tied traditional 'Rakhis' to Chief Minister, K. Rosaiah, at his residence here.
Responding in an affectionate manner, the CM was generous in distributing sweets and sarees to each of the women ministers.
Greater Hyderabad Mayor, Ms Banda Karthika Reddy also tied the Raksha Bandhan to Rosaiah and extended greetings.
Sisters from the Prajapita Brahmakumari organisation also visited the Chief Minister's residence and tied Rakhis on the Chief Minister's wrist.
Meanwhile, several school children visited Raj Bhavan and tied Raksha Bandhan to Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan.
