Despite Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy's feeling that the State Congress did precious little for the families of those who lost their lives in the wake of the death of late YSR, Sonia Gandhi has sent a clear signals to Jagan.
In this regard Sonia Gandhi sent Union Minister of state for Human Resources, D Purandereswari as an emissary to Jagan to convey her views on Odarpu Yatra.
According to Purandheraswari, Sonia Gandhi asked Jagan to distribute the money through the Congress Party and not from his own pocket. Let not the Odarpu Yatra be taken up for personal gains, but it should strengthen the party mechanism in the State.
The party leadership is reported to have taken exception to the fact that Jagan did not recall the services of Sonia, Rahul or Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the Odarpu Yatra.
Sonia further instructed Jagan to call all the families of victims to one palce in Prakasam district and then distribute the money. Even at that time he should speak about the welfare schemes taken up by the Government and the Congress for the upliftment of the people.
It remains to be seen how far Jagan has grasped the views of Sonia Gandhi and how he will execute them during the Odarpu yatra in September to Prakasham district.
