Janhvi Kapoor shares feelings during Bawaal release

Janhvi emotional over Bawaal

Janhvi Kapoor shares emotions during Bawaal streaming. Vaun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor's Bawaal directed by Nitesh Tiwari skipped the theatrical release and opted for direct OTT streaming. The film is streaming on Amazon Prime OTT and Janvhi shared her feelings turning emotional.

She shared “Your love has been #Bawaal .. Nisha ko apnane ke liye, Ajju ko sudharne ke liye, humari kahaani aur kaam ko itna pyaar dene ke liye- thank you.. in this race to create a perception, to compete for things and for some sort of validation- some of us are lost. And sometimes what we feel are the biggest problems, are really only our minds not allowing us to value what we have. In light of the inhuman hardships that were faced by so many through a period of history, maybe we can learn that life is fleeting; that our problems are trivial, what matters is not what you have but what you are, and that sometimes we forget to value the simplest of things till we lose it, only to realize that was our one shot at true happiness. That is the heart of our #bawaal.. to see so many of you having these feelings after watching our film, makes everything worth it.”

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi are playing the roles of History teacher Ajay and his epilepsy wife Nisha and the film is getting mixed response. While Janhvi's fans are loving her performance, netizens are brutally trolling her. Here are the reactions.

A Twitter wrote, “An Auschwitz survivor’s story about his separation from his wife at the concentration camp makes Varun Dhawan realise what separation from your partner actually means. Bawaal is tone-deaf on so many levels.”

While another said, “An unhealthy relationship is the same as The Holocaust and anyone who is greedy is like Hitler. ‘Har relationship apne apne Auschwitz se guzar ta hai. Tab jakar hume use ristey ki ahmiyat samaj mein aati hai. Ye bawaal ki story hai. I am deeply disturbed. #Bawaal”

A third user wrote, “Comparing tribulations and problems in a marriage to Auschwitz mass genocide is the lowest a Bollywood movie has ever stooped to. If a Hollywood movie, it would have been cancelled forever. Wtf were the Amazon people smoking when they green-lit this?”
