Praveen Sattaru started as an Indo-American director. He was an immigrant to the USA who worked for more than a decade in the IT industry. Due to his passion for films, he produced an indie film LBW written, produced, and directed by himself. The film became a success especially among Telugu people in the USA and in multiplexes in Telugu states for its content.
Then with the success of LBW, Praveen made a moderate film Routine Love Story starring Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra. The film deals with a typical love story and won recognition for him. Then he tried the anthology film Chandamama Kathalu which won National Award for the best feature film in Telugu.
Praveen deals with the concept of relations and love in his first three films. Then for his fourth film, Guntur Talkies, he changed his course and made an adult comedy. The film became successful at the box office. Praveen who is more interested in trying various genres has shifted to action thrillers with PSV Garudavega.
Rajasekhar starrer Garudavega which was released with almost no expectations has thrown a surprise to the audience. Praveen within the budget given to him has made a high octane action thriller. The film revived career of Rajasekhar. Then he made another action film The Ghost with Nagarjuna which is lauded for its making. Now he is getting ready with Spy Actioner Gadeevadhari Arjuna with Varun Tej which is releasing on 25th August.
