Court comes down heavily on Adipurush

Court reprimands Adipurush makers

Court reprimands Adipurush makers. Prabhas-Om Raut's Adipurush landed in various problems ever since the makers released the teaser. The cheap graphics and the portrayal of characters in the teaser angered all and many moved to courts seeking a ban on the film and sought directions from the courts to prevent makers from releasing the film.

However the makers emerged successful in getting positive vibes with the two songs, Ram Siya Ram and Jai Sri Ram, and also two trailers. But after the film's release, everyone got extremely disappointed with the portal of the characters of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, Lord Hanuman, and even demon king Ravan.

Many approached courts to ban the film for the third-rate dialogues. Now Allahabad High Court hearing the petitions against Adipurush come down heavily on Adipurush. The High Court in its order directed cowriter Manoj Muntashir Shukla to be made a party to the case and asked him to respond within a week. The hearing which started yesterday will be continued today.

The Court said "The kind of dialogues that are there in the film... it's a big issue. Ramayana is an example for the people. It is venerated. People step out of their homes after reading the Ramcharitmanas,""Some things should not have been tinkered with,"

It even censured the Censor Board and said "Agar hum log iss par bhi aankh band kar len kyonki yeh kaha jaata hai ki yeh dharm ke log bade sahishnu hain, toh kya uska test liya jayega? (Should we close our eyes just because it is said that people of a particular religion are said to be tolerant? Is this a test of tolerance?" the court remarked, adding that "It was good that the people did not harm law and order after watching the film".

It questioned "What is it that the censor board keeps doing? What do you want to teach the future generations?"
