On his birthday, the makers released an intense first look of Vijay and also the song Naa Ready. Now this landed in trouble as Vijay in the song is seen smoking and boozing. Selvam, a social activist from Korukkupet in Chennai took a strong exception with Vijay smoking and drinking in the song and filed a case.
In his complaint, he mentioned that the song promotes rowdyism and drug addiction. He also said Vijay promoted Smoking and drinking and dancing with a cigarette in his mouth and consuming alcohol. In the petition before the Chennai Commissioner of Police, Selvam said that the song ‘Naa Reddy’ has gone viral and would provoke youngsters to do drugs. He filed an online petition on June 25.
Vijay recently felicitated the top rankers in the X and XII and the petitioner said Vijay is practicing double standards and it is sending wrong signals to the youngsters.
