Adipurush which was released on June 16 globally has been cruising ahead with record numbers at the boxoffice. Despite facing negativity, the Prabhas starrer mythological spectacle has made Rs 240 Crs in two days and considering the trend, it will hit another Rs 100+ crs day on its third day taking its total to around Rs 350 Crs in three days. The film is also witnessing huge advance bookings for Monday which is very rare.
Though the film is facing criticism from certain sections, the audience seems enjoying the film in theatres. Especially, kids and families are thronging to theatres to have a stunning 3D experience. Attempts like Adipurush which retold Ramayan in a new dimension are very rare and are bound to face harsh criticism from some groups.
The team has made the film with conviction and honesty. They would have gone with the template of previous Ramayan films and avoid all these controversies. But, tried to present the epic tale and valour of Lord Shree Ram with top-notch visuals and grandeur. Due to this epicness in making of the film, the 3D versions are witnessing huge turnouts.
Many 3D version theatres are being added and ticket rates are also being reduced from Monday to bring the film much closer to the audience. All these factors are working and the film is witnessing strong Monday bookings. Many multiplexes in Hyderabad City are already showing 70-80% occupancies for Monday which is a working day. Seems like Adipurush victorious march continues through the weekdays also.
