JD Chakravarthy is quite popular in the '90s. He enjoyed the craze among the youth with his films Gulabi, Bombai Priyudu, Money, Money Money, Nenu Premistunnanu, and Premaku Velayera. He turned villain for some Tamil films post-2000 and even directed some films. Now he is ventured into OTT. Speaking to scribes, he made a startling revelation that he has been served with slow poison for 8 months.
JD elaborated that he has been served amber (Kashayam) which is considered good for health. He has been drinking it for 8 months. Recently he felt ill and found difficulty in taking a breath easily. He approached many doctors and none of them found a remedy to his problem. He even went to foreign countries but nothing worked.
JD said that I don't have any other habits. When my friend Seshu Reddy takes me to Doctor Nagarjuna he asked me why I do drugs. But, I never had them in my life. Then, he suspected something is wrong with my food intake. One day while I was working on the editing table, Producer Khasim came and shared my Kashayam. He felt ill the very next day.
Chakravarthy knowing this has told the person who has been serving him Kashayam for 8 months. But, that person asked JD why he shared his drink with another person and in the argument that followed, JD got suspicious and got his drink tested. To his shock, it was the poison he has been drinking all these days and is the reason for his breathing difficulty. But, JD Chakravarthy didn't reveal full details of who and why served him that poison.
