EVV Satyanarayana is known for his extreme films. Not in the sense of films about extremists but he did either extreme melodramatic films or extreme comedy films. Either way EVV has left a bold and beautiful mark of himself in the Telugu film industry. EVV who started as a director of small films turned into comedy director and made family dramas. He slowly reached top and delivered blockbusters with Star heroes. Whatever and whomever he was working with, EVV never left his impeccable comedy timing in his films.
EVV Satyanarayana worked as an assistant for comedy legend, Director Jandhyala for 8 years during his initial days. Then he turned into director with Chevilo Puvvu which turned into a failure. Then he made Prema Khaidi produced by D Ramanaidu and scored a superhit. Then exploring his strong zone, comedy he made Appula Apparao, Aa Okkati Adakku and Jambalakidi Pamba with full-on comedy and scored Superhits.
Then EVV shifted towards melodramatic films like Aame, Thaali, Kanyaadanam and scored success in that genre also. He delivered blockbusters with star heroes, Alluda Majaka with Chiranjeevi, Varasudu, Hello Brother with Nagarjuna, Abbayigaru, Intlo Illalu Vantintli Priyuralu with Venkatesh.
EVV is also known for keeping unique titles for his films like Evandi Aavidochindi, Alibaba Aradozen Dongalu, Aayanaki Iddaru, Veedevadandi Babu, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, MaaVidaakulu and so on. He founded EVV Cinema and produced films in his direction and made Superhits. He made films with his both sons Allari Naresh and Aryan Rajesh. Among those two EVV delivered blockbusters with Allari Naresh and made him a Star in comedy films genre. He passed away due to throat cancer in 2011.
