Naga Chaitanya's Bilingual action thriller Custody released in theatres yesterday. The film which created notable buzz before it's release has failed to attain positive talk on its release day. Poor reviews and weak mouth talk has resulted the film heading towards a failure.
Though the film manages to draw the audience for its morning shows, due to lack of appealing content, the film fails to rake in big numbers on its first day. Custody collected a meagre Rs 7 Crs gross in both Telugu and Tamil languages worldwide. The share is Rs 3.9 Crs which is very low comparing to contemporary star's films.
Even though Custody is slightly better in collections on its first day with Rs 3.9 Crs while his previous film Thank You collected Rs 1.65 Crs in AP + TG. Before that Chaitanya's films post pandemic Love Story, Bangarraju managed to collect 7 Crs and 9 Crs respectively. He needs to bounce back strongly as he is slowly slipping with back to back failures.
