The trend of re-release has gone to Bollywood too. After many blockbusters are getting re-released in Telugu, now Hindi land also follows this trend. It was started in Tamil Nadu, that some fans of star heroes and popular theatres collaborated to screen a special show on their favourite star's birthday. Over the past one year, Tollywood has taken it to next level by remastering popular hits and releasing them on a large scale. Now, it spreads to Bollywood. Biopic of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, MS Dhoni : The Untold Story is getting re-released in theatres.
MS Dhoni was released in theatres in 2016 starring late Sushant Singh Rajput in the role of Dhoni. Sushant after his debut with Kai Po Che in 2013 has taken a hug plunge in his career with MS Dhoni which became a blockbuster at the box-office. He played the role of one of India's favourite cricketers effortlessly and won praises for his performance. He lived as Dhoni in his biopic.
7 years after its theatrical release, MS Dhoni : The Untold Story is all set for re-release in cinemas. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie also starred Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Bhumika Chawla and Anupam Kher. The film will hit the big screen once again on May 12.
