Balagam wins Dada Sahab Phalke award. It seems there is no stopping Balagam at present. The film won many prestigious international awards and now it won another feather in its cap. The film's music director Bheems Ceciroleo won the Best music director award at the 13th Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival.
The award was received by Bheems Ceciroleo and producer Harishith Reddy. More than 800 films competed from across the world for the top honors and Balagam emerged victors. Balagam marked the debut of comedian Venu Yeldandi as the director and he created a sensation with his debut film.
He touched the emotional chords of all by highlighting the Telangana culture and traditions in the film. The film starred Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram in the lead roles and Muralidhar Goud, Jayaram, Roopa, Racha Ravi in important roles.
The film's plot revolved around the death of a person and showed the sentiments of the people and how they reacted after the death.
