This which is started as a small film has created a huge impact with its natural depiction of rural Telangana dealing with heartwarming emotions surrounding a death in a family.
Balagam, directed by comedian-turned-director Venu Yeldandi and featuring Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyanram in the lead roles, is now receiving numerous awards. The film has already won over 40 international awards at various film festivals, and it has now added 3 more awards to its list. The film won Best Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Lead Actor at The Golden Bridge Istanbul Short Film Festival 2023.
Balagam team is elated with its success on the global stage. The movie also stars Venu, Muralidhar Goud, Jayaram, Roopa, Racha Ravi, and others in pivotal roles. Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha Reddy produced the film on a limited budget, and Bheems Ceciroleo composed the music for this emotional family drama.
Dil Raju has presented the film and backed it on his another banner Dil Raju Productions which is founded to make content oriented films with new talent. Balagam is their first attempt and they achieved what they intended with the film.
