Nayanthara is known for her riveting performances and powerful female-oriented roles. She is currently starring in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan under the direction of Atlee. Jawan marks her entry into Bollywood. Apart from it, Nayanthara also has a couple of projects in her lineup.
In the meantime, speaking to scribes, Nayanthara shared that she would like to star in the direction of star director Maniratnam. Nayanthara speaking at an award function, took the blessings of Maniratnam and then said ' The number of awards I won will not fill the void of not starring in Maniratnam's direction. I would like to star in Mani Ratnam's film sooner than later
Nayanthara was supposed to star in Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan but for some reason, it did not happen. Inside talk is during that time Vignesh Sivan asked Nayanthara not to sign any projects as they planned their wedding.
