Global phenomenon RRR which is an Oscar Award winning film for the best original song for Naatu Naatu is still makign noise even after completing one year of its release. The film which was released in Japanese language in Japan has already created several records.
RRR is the highest foot falls film from India, highest grossing Indian film and ran for more than 100 days in record no of screens. But, that's not it. RRR is inching towards a remarkable feat in Japan.
The latest news is that it has surpassed JPY 1.5 billion in Japan, making it a historic milestone. Film has now collected 11 million USD (Rs 94 Crs) and it’s heading for Rs 100 crs in couple of more weeks. Film saw surge in collections post its Oscar victory in Best Original Song category.
It crossed the record 1 million admits after releasing last October, leading it to the first-ever Indian film to attain this much in the country. Earlier, Muthu became the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan for over two decades with JPY 400 million.
