Ajay Devgn Bholaa Is Not Looking Promising At The Box-office

Bholaa Is Struggling At Box-office

Ajay Devgn's latest film Bholaa is released amidst huge hype and expectations. Ajay's previous film Drishyam 2's massive success at the boxoffice and Bholaa being an Ajay Devgn's directorial added to the expectations. But, seems like the movie is struggling at the ticket windows. Drishyam 2 had an opening day with 15.38 Cr Bholaa only managed 11.20 Crs on its first day.

After low opening considering the genre and hype, the film needed to stay stable by witnessing a minimal drop yesterday. However, the drop has been bigger, giving an alarming sign for the makers. It earned 7.42 crores on its second day. The third day which is a weekend has witnessed growth and collected Rs 11 crs taking the three day total to Rs 28+ Crs.

Bholaa has been receiving positive reviews from the audience and critics alike, but turns out, that hasn't been enough to make the masses flock to theatres. Of course, one reason can be its very cut-throat competition with Nani's Dasara. Though Dasara didn't showed resistance from day 2, but hampered it's day 1 collection. Though Bholaa is showing signs of improvement towards weekend. It isn't enough to reach superhit status.

While Drishyam 2 has made close to Rs 70 crs in its first weekend. Bholaa is looking at 40+ crs in its first four day weekend. And Drishyam's lifetime Rs 250 crs domestic collection is an uphill task to reach for Bholaa. It is an official remake of Karthi's Tamil blockbuster Kaithi.
