Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar is reeling with continuous failures. Nothing is working in favour of his films. He is now doing the remake of Suriya's much praised film Soorarai Pottru which was released directly to OTT during pandemic times. Suriya is also acting as one of its producers. Sudha Kongara who has helmed the orginal is also directing the Hindi version.
As there has been news doing rounds that Akshay Kumar's next OMG 2 goes to direct to OTT way skipping Theatrical release due to his back to back flops leading to his theatrical market crash. Many wondered what will be the fate of Soorarai Pottru remake. But, to keeping everyone's doubts and discussions to an end, Akshay Kumar himself has Annoucned the release date with a poster.
Akshay Kumar took to his social media handles to share the release date of the movie. The film, which also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal, will release on September 1 this year. The actor shared the first poster of the film in which only his silhouette could be seen as a plane whizzed by.
He captioned the post, “We are ready for take off! ✈️ Production No. 27 (Untitled) releases in theatres worldwide on 1st September, 2023.” confirming that his next is a theatrical release on September 1st.
