Now, the wait is finally over with the latest update from the production banner is about the film's first single.
As the release date is getting nearer, team has kick-started the promotions. Today makers announced the first song will be released on 20th March, 6 PM. The song is titled as Aaganandhe. Lyrics are penned by Anantha Sriram and Shakthisree Gopalan has lend her vocals. The announcement is made with a beautiful poster featuring Karthi and Trisha where Trisha is seen holding a sword while Karthi is blindfolded and knelt down before her tying his hands.
Makers already hinted about the first single sharing a BTS in a melodious hinting that the song, which is all about Kundhavai and the process behind the character's lookover. The story, co-written by Mani Ratnam with Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan, is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel, Ponniyin Selvan. It is a historical drama that follows the life of Arulmozhi Varman, who later becomes the great emperor Rajaraja Chola.
