He even lend a helping hand to those who tried to harm him in the past. Such a mighty heart he has. There ar numerous instances where Chiranjeevi helped financially, career wise, health wise to many knowing about their problems.
Another instance came into light about his charity. Ponnambalam is a well-known actor in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films, famous for his portrayal of villainous roles. He is notable with his first fight in Chiranjeevi's Gharana Mogudu and acted with many stars in all languages. Ponnambalam has been suffering from kidney disease for over a year and is taking treatment.
For his medical treatment Ponnambalam has appealed to his friends and colleagues in the industry to help him with the financial expenses. It was revealed in a recent interview that when Ponnambalam sent a message to Megastar Chiranjeevi for financial assistance, he responded and assured him. After recovering from kidney surgery, he recently gave an interview to Tamil media. He said that he was treated as Chiranjeevi’s elder brother.
"Two years ago I got a kidney problem. I am waiting for someone to help me. Just then I remembered Chiranjeevi.. I took the number through my friend and messaged about my illness. Immediately, I recieved a call and inquired whether I can go to Hyderabad. Then, Chiranjeevi Garu said me to go to Apollo Hospital in Chennai. I went there and he already arranged everything and took me in without even asking the entry fee. They treated me completely and it was costed Rs. 40 lakhs. They never asked me a single rupee and Chiranjeevi Garu looked after everything."
Ponnambalam got emotional and said that when he asked Chiranjeevi for help he thought he will give him one lakh rupees or 2 lakhs. But he did not think that he would be given treatment of 40 lakhs. He thanked Chiranjeevi heartfully. This is just an instances among many where Chiranjeevi helped and saved many people. A true Megastar at heart.
