Why is this insane craze for titles.?

Stars titles craze - Silly fan wars

The stars' title craze and Silly fans wars are becoming the talking point. Ever since Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR got global acclaim, the fans of lead actors NTR and Ram Charan started fighting over who got the global recognition. They started fighting over the 'Global Star' used by Tech Mahindra MD Anand Mahindra for Ram Charan. They said NTR is the Global Star and not Ram Charan. This led to the usage of abusive and obscene, cuss words. Even during the film shooting and after the release, fans have been fighting over the limited screen presence to their heroes. This continued over Steven Speilberg and James Cameron's comments.

This is making people wonder why stars are obsessed with the title craze and silly fans are fighting insane wars. While Bollywood refers to Shah Rukh Khan as Badshah, Amitabh Bachchan as Big B, Aamir Khan as Mr. Perfectionist, Kollywood refers to Rajinikanth as Superstar, Kamal Haasan as Universal Hero, Vijay as Thalapathy, Ajith as Thala, etc. This trend is more common in Tollywood even young heroes are using titles ahead of their names.

The titles of Mega Star, Mega Power Star, Power Star, Mega Prince, King, Akkineni Prince, Nitro Star,Rebel Star, Young Tiger,  Hot Hunk,Super Star,Rocking Star, Natural Star etc are used by the makers to excite fans. And fans are getting carried away and even stars are also coming with new interesting titles just like how Stylish Star changed to Icon Star. The controversy over Global Star is making all furious. Fans are becoming so insane that NTR and Ram Charan or Prabhas conquered the entire world with their collections crossing Rs 1000crs at the box office across the world.

Stars and their fans should realize that even earlier many Indian films got recognition across the world and did well at the global level. Rajkumar, Dilip Kumar's films did well and so too did Amitabh Bachchan's films. When Aamir Khan's Lagaan got shortlisted for the Oscars, Aamir Khan's fans did not use the word Global Star etc. Fans of even yesteryear Tollywood stars fought intense wars. ANR was hailed as Nata Samrat, NTR as Nata Ratna, Krishna as Nata Sekhara, etc.

But only NTR got the title Viswa Vikhyata Natasarva Bhowma for his performance in Seeta Rama Kalyanam by Kanchi Paramacharya. This is a real honor for any actor. At that time neither he nor his fans went overboard. If Jr NTR and Ram Charan are global stars as their film RRR got Rs 1000crs at the box office, what about Hollywood superstars whose remuneration ranges those heights and who went on to win many Oscars? The way Mahesh Babu's fans fought against Tom Cruise fans made everyone hang their heads in shame.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Jet Lee, Denzel Washington, Mel Gibson, Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Tom Hanks, Robert Di Nero, Tom Hanks, Sean Connery and others achieved more than what our stars achieved and they need a lot to do before being called a Globar Star or other names. A realistic perception is the need of the hour rather than get into insane fan wars tarnishing the image of the country at the international level even before Naatu Naatu may compete and have a reasonable change to win the Oscars.
