Samantha is starring in the Indian adaptation of the American drama Citadel. While the American version has Priyanka Chopra as the female lead, the Indian version has Samantha as the female lead while Varun Dhawan is playing the lead role in the direction of Raj and DK.
Samantha already started shooting for her role and even got injured while enacting a high-octane stunt sequence. Now speaking to scribes, Raj and DK shared the secrets of Samantha's role in the series. They said "We have started shooting with Samantha and Varun (Dhawan). It's a really strong, author-backed role. The idea is to use Samantha's abilities and challenge her more, to open up a few more aspects of her acting,"
Samantha on associating with Raj and DK once again after The Family Man 2 sensation, shared "When Prime Video and Raj & DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is a homecoming for me. The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines between the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited me,"
