The Kashmir Files Bagged Four Awards In ZEE Cine Award

Controversial Film Is Being Showered With Awards

The Kashmir Files about the genocide of Kashmiri pundits was one of the most controversial movies last year. In many places, it was banned even the censor board once rejected to screen the movie in theatres. But it turned out to be a money spinner at the Box-office grossing a humongous Rs 350 Crores. At the Zee Cine Awards, the movie won in 4 major categories- Anupam Kher as Best Actor, Chinmay Madlekar as Best Actor in a Negative Role, Vivek Agnihotri for Best Screenplay and Best Film Viewers Choice. TKF also recently won the Best Film Award in Dada Saheb Phalke awards too.

The director of the movie Vivek Agnihotri has dedicated this movie to all those people who lost their lives and families who lost their loved ones. He says- “We dedicate this award to martyr Sanjay Sharma who sacrificed his life to religious terrorism yesterday in Kashmir.” He also said said that this movie was one of the most difficult to shoot. “Some 700 testimonials of Kashmiri Pandits who are no more were taken into consideration. But above all the best screenplay that we won is only what mattered to me. The foundation of the movie is all that I hoped for.”

Meanwhile, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is gearing up for 'The Vaccine War'. The shoot of the much-awaited has already begun. The Kashmir Files is produced by Pallavi Joshi along with Abhishek Agarwal, in association with Zee Studios.
