On this day 13 years ago, Yem Maaya Chesave directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, marking the Telugu film debut of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, was released. It stars Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. The film went on to become a cult hit earning a loyal fan base over the years. Samantha went on to become most sought after actress with many hit films to her credit in both Telugu and Tamil languages. Though she did films in both languages, she predominantly acted in Telugu films and attained Superstar status with huge fan following.
