Kantara got Supreme Court relief over the popular Varaja Roopam song. It is known that Varaha Roopam's song in Kantara took the film to a new level with intense emotions. However, the makers got a huge shock when the 'Thaikkudam Bridge' approached High Court over the similarities of Varaha Roopam's song to their song Navarasa which they released five years back. High Court passed an order prohibiting Kantara makers from using the song and this robbed the movie lovers of the original feel.
Now, finally, Kantara makers got relief with the Supreme Court order. The order stated "Petitioner shall present before the Investigating Officer on 12th and 13th February. In the event he is arrested, he shall be released on bail forthwith subject to conditions on the trial court. We issue a stay on Condition 5"
Earlier, The Kerala High court granted bail to Rishabh Shetty and the producer with the order stating "the petitioners shall not exhibit the film `Kantara' along with the music `Varaha Roopam' in the film till an interim order or final order after addressing infringement of copyright in this matter will be passed by a competent civil court".
