A trend of re releasing old blockbusters is clouding the Tollywood now. After many re-releases of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Prabhas. Now it is the turn of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Even Chiru's yesteryear mass blockbuster Gharana Mogudu was released last year. Now his family action blockbuster Gangleader is gearing for a re-release. Gangleader is considered as a text book to make a family drama blending with action elements in a commercial format. Vijaya Bapineedu has directed the film while Maganti Ravindranath Chowdary produced it under Shyam Prasad Arts.
Chiranjeevi - Vijayashanthi's pair was a rage in those days and Bappilahiri's chartbuster songs added more fuel to the fire. No one can forget Chiranjeevi's steps in Gangleader title song and his romance with Vijayashanthi in Vaana Vaana song. Now after 32 years, Gangleader is once again hitting the big screens on February 11th. Vega Entertainment's is releasing the film now.
Nani in 2019 used Gangleader title for his film produced by Mythri Movie Makers in Vikram Kumar's direction. But, it was registered as Nani's Gangleader.
