The film which was made with a budget of Rs 2.5 crores is struggling to get back the investment. It only managed to cross Rs 1 Crore mark in its first three days ended up as a huge flop at the ticket windows.
Mohan Lal's last Blockbuster was Lucifer in 2019 which also marks the directorial debut of Hero Prithviraj. Since then all of his films failed to score at the Box-office. Films which got good reviews like Drishyam 2 and Bro Daddy were directly released in OTT. Other hyped films Marakkar, Aarattu and Monster became flops at the theatres. Mohan Lal is currently pinning hopes on Ram which is an action thriller written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. Trisha is playing the lead lady.
His other upcoming films include Baaroz: Nidhi Kaakkum Bhootham, a multi-crore children’s fantasy film, is in the post-production stage. It marks Mohan Lal's debut as a director. He is also playing the titular role in it. Empuran is a sequel to his 2019’s blockbuster hit Lucifer. He also teamed up Lijo Jose Pellissery for Malaikottai Vaaliban.
