Rajkumar Santohsi's Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh lands in trouble with protests erupting across the country and the Congress party giving a call to oppose the film. Rajkumar Santoshi's directorial venture Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh starred Deepak Antani and Chinmay Mandlekar in the roles of Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse.
The film is a fictional story of Gandhi surviving the assassination attack on him by Nathuram Godse and later meeting Nathuram Godse in prison. Their conversation leads to a fiery debate between them. Double Oscar winner AR.Rahman tuned the music for the film. The film is slated for a spectacular release on 26 January 2023.
The press conference held in Mumbai was disrupted by people who shouted slogans hailing Gandhi. National Award-winning filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi who is returning after 9 years says “It’s not about me coming back after 9 years, it's about what I’m bringing to the table after 9 years. Before making a film, I always ask myself what difference my film will make and I only begin it once I get the answer. Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh is a very important film to me and I hope the audience sees the strong narrative the film holds,"
